Volume Lash Training in Hawaii

January 22, 2017

We are coming back to place our founder grew up in, Hawaii! Valentine’s Day is coming up soon, and it’s time to treat yourself to advancing your career opportunities. If you are already good at classic lash extensions, then you will want to join us in Honolulu, Hawaii on February 25th for a course on volume lash extensions!

Volume Class
The volume class will go over how to apply up to eight eyelash extensions per natural lash, safely. In addition to going over the history of volume lashes, we will be covering how to mix classic and volume lashes on your client and mastering inner corners. Also taping, curing, and how to prevent allergic reactions with your client. You will receive a professional volume lash kit which contains volume lash trays, volume glue and tweezers.

Humidity
As you know, Hawaii is well known for its fragrant flowers—plumeria, gardenias, and pikake (leis, anyone?), but the other thing Hawaii is known for is its humidity! In fact, Honolulu has an average of 63% humidity during the year. So if you live in a humid climate, or will be traveling to one, it’s good to know about the glue you will be using for your lash extensions. One of the things I will be going over in the class is the type of adhesive/glue that works best in a humid climate.

Adhesives

Lash adhesive is a funny thing, too much moisture during your application, and the glue can get hazey, so having the right amount of humidity while applying extensions will allow the application to adhere properly—or bond--to the natural lash. But interestingly enough, moisture is also needed to cure the lash correctly, and without moisture, the adhesive can’t cure. The challenge is controlling your moisture levels. Be sure to keep your glue in a cool, dry, dark place (preferably). We recommend the following adhesive, which you can purchase here:
